Support for young researchers at HHU

Support for young researchers is given by several institutions at HHU. Heine Research Academies (HeRA), a joint academic institution formed by the graduate academies of the faculties (iGRADmedRSD and philGRAD) and the Junior Scientist and International Researcher Center (JUNO) are supporting your research work by a complementary program of transferable skills and workshops. We want to advance your career and training as an early career researcher also by providing a collection of useful information and links to contact points. The graduate academies are open to doctoral students, postdocs and junior research group leaders as well as to supervisors of graduate research work that do research at HHU Düsseldorf.

Heine Research Academies are a joint academic institution formed by the graduate academies of the faculties (iGRAD, medRSD and philGRAD) and the Junior Scientist and International Researcher Center (JUNO). Heine Research Academies are supporting your research work by a complementary program of transferable skills and workshops. We want to advance your career and training as an early career researcher. The graduate academies are open to doctoral students, postdocs and junior research group leaders as well as to supervisors of graduate research work that do research at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf.

The traing, consulting and service offers of iGRAD - Interdisciplinary Graduate and Research Academy Düsseldorf - specifically support the qualification of early career researchers of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at HHU and addresses all doctoral students, postdocs, their supervisors and mentors as well as the affiliated doctoral programmes and research networks.

MedRSD - Medical Research School Düsseldorf - was founded in 2010 as an institution of the Medical Faculty of the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. Here you can find all information about the doctoral studies of Dr. med., Dr. med. dent. and Dr. PH at the Medical Faculty of the Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf. MedRSD is integrated in the graduate center of the Medical Faculty.

The Graduate Academy of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (philGRAD)  is a central institution of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Heinrich Heine University. It supports the faculty's young academics during the doctoral phase with a diverse workshop programme in key qualifications as well as with needs-oriented consulting and coaching services. The individual career and personality development as well as the networking of the doctoral students among themselves are the main focus of philGRAD.

The Junior Scientist and International Researcher Center (JUNO) of HHU offers interdisciplinary qualification and soft skill trainings for postdocs, young research group leaders and junior professors of all faculties in order to support the scientific independency of the young academics at HHU. JUNO is also the central contact and service center for international doctoral researchers, postdocs and visiting scientists who are taken care of in frame of the Welcome Service for international researchers.
