pART of Research Calendar Competition 2026
Our pART of Research calendar is ten years old! - and you are invited to contribute an image for the anniversary calendar. Show us that art is part of your research and send us your picture for the 2026 calendar now! You are very welcome to incorporate the anniversary number ‘10’ in your image!
Doctoral researchers, postdocs and junior group leaders of all Faculties – are you an excited researcher, a talented illustrator, or simply someone with a curious mind? This is your chance to shine!
Create an awe-inspiring image that captures the essence of your research. From the smallest particles to the largest galaxies, from letters to words, from numbers to complex formulas and correlations. Let your imagination run wild as you blend scientific accuracy with artistic flair. Each month of the calendar should be a visual masterpiece, showcasing the wonders of your research subjects or special moments in your life as a scientist.
Submit your image until 15th June 2025 and be a part of our special 10-year anniversary celebration!
All entries will be put up for vote on the pART of Research website. The twelve images with the most votes will be printed in the pART of Research calendar 2026 and the winners will receive a book voucher.
Information for participation
All doctoral students, postdocs, junior research group leaders and junior professors at HHU are eligible to participate.
You can submit your art work until 15 June 2025. The submitted images* will then be made displayed on this page for voting. The pictures which receive the most votes will be published in the pART of Research calendar for 2026. At least one space is reserved for an image of each faculty. The winners will receive a coveted place in the pART of Research calendar 2026 as well as a book voucher.
*If more than 30 images are submitted, a committee of the Heine Research Academies will make a preliminary selection.
Whether photos, drawings, collages, comics...there are no limits to your imagination.
Only the following technical requirements must be met:
• mind. 250 dpi
• Format: JPG
• ideally CMYK
• DIN A3 Landsquape (420 mm x 297 mm)
Please submit only one image per participant. Only pictures for which you have the copyright and right of use may be submitted!
