From now on, 22 submitted images, snapshots, data visualizations and graphics are available for voting in the pART of Research calendar competition 2021. Young scientists of HHU have submitted their contributions under the motto "Creative through Diversity". You can now vote for the images that will make it in the 2021 calendar!


31.03.20 The 'pART of Research' calendar competition 2021 has started!

The "pART of Research" calendar competition has started - and comes along with a special feature this year. Show the fascination and diverse facets of your research to a broad audience! Colours, structures, people, (working) space - there are no limits to creativity. All photos, drawings, collages etc. submitted by 31 May 2020 will be put to public vote on the HeRA website. Special highlight for the 5th round of the calendar competition: All pictures will also be presented in the "pART of Research" exhibition at the University Library from the end of October 2020 to January 2021.


25.03.20 Boost Your Research Young Investigator Fund for Innovative Research Ideas

The Schering Stiftung and the Fritz Thyssen Foundation offer start-up grants to fund promising research ideas by young scientists. Support is provided for projects in the fields of biochemical, neuroscience or immunological basic research with biomedical implications. The program is explicitly aimed at highly motivated young investigators who want to become independent researchers and pursue their own research ideas.

Success factors for introverts and extroverts

The difference between introverted and extroverted characteristics appears in almost every personality test. However, hardly anyone knows what these characteristics specifically mean in daily life and communication. This is especially true for leadership strategies. The talk by Dr. Sylvia Löhken should help young leaders in academia learn how to best act and communicate with a wide range of personalities - while getting a better understanding for themselves. Every HHU researcher or interested HHU staff are invited to come along.


06.03.20 CANCELED: HHU Research Funding Day 12.3.20

Due to the increased security measures in view of the spread of the corona virus', the Department of Research Management and Transfer of HHU and JUNO jointly decided to postpone the Research Funding Day scheduled for next Thursday. Unfortunately, the current situation has led to cancellations by both speakers and participants.

 


13.12.19 Heinrich Heine University successful in the 6th call of the Philipp Schwartz Initiative

In cooperation with the Philipp Schwartz Initiative, Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf for the first time gets the opportunity to host researchers who are under threat in or who have already fled from their countries of origin and to support them with a full scholarship for a period of 24 months.

The renowned international science communication competition FameLab - Talking Science enters the next round in over 35 countries! Young research talents from all over Germany are cordially invited to inspire a competent expert jury and the public for their field of research.


19.12.19 New funding possibilities for postdocs: Walter Benjamin-Programme of DFG

The new Walter Benjamin Programme is aimed at young researchers who wish to carry out an independent research project at an early stage of their career after completing their doctorate. The aim is to support the mobility relevant in this phase and, if necessary, to promote the further thematic development of the research project.
