Heine Research Academies support doctoral and postdoctoral researchers with travel grants for:

HHU Research in dialogue with the world

The HeRA Travel Grant proramme is supported by generous support of two founder families. The programme allows every year several HHU junior scientists to present their research at academic conferences abroad. Now, three of the junior scientist supported by the programme also presented their research to the public in Düsseldorf. On 1st of March 2017 at "Haus der Universität" Dr. Thomas Pohlmann presented his data on "RNA transport in a microbial model organism", Dr. Thomas Gurke spoke about "The origin of music and language in James Joyce's A portrait of the artist as a young man (1916) "and Lena Storzer explained her findings on "The benefits of cycling for Parkinsonian patients".
