Heine Research Academies are hosting the second university wide undefined HEINE SLAM. Young researchers slam in the battle of the faculties. They are putting across a scientific concept - whether that's through spoken words, comedy, dance or anything else you can think of!!! The Heine Slam is followed by the the afterslamparty with music by "The Aggregates".

10.05.16 3rd CERFA-NRW Symposium “Women in Science” 20.06.2016

CERFA-NRW is now proudly presenting its 3rd Symposium “Women in Science”. Since women in leading positions in R& D in both industry or academia are still nowadays underrepresented, we want to provide an open forum for discussing about these issues, and bringing closer role models examples of ground-breaking scientists, who happen to be women. It will take place on June the 20 th at the Haus der Universität in Düsseldorf.

The most creative, imaginative, and picturesque images will be published in a calendar. In addition, the winners will be rewarded with a book voucher.


11.04.16 Successful kick-off: First Research Funding Day for Early Career Researchers at HHU

The first HHU Research Funding Day (5.4.2016) has been an informative day for Early Career Researchers. About 150 young academics of Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf and several Universities close by came together to get informed about current research funding programs for early career researchers.


02.04.16 Postdoctoral Fellowships of Daimler and Benz Stiftung

The Daimler and Benz Foundation awards ten scholarships to exceptional postdoctoral students, assistant professors, and young managers of new research projects. The goal is to support the autonomy and creativity of our next generation of academics and to help committed researchers as they begin their postdoctoral academic careers. The recipients receive scholarships of €20,000 a year for two years to finance research assistants, technical equipment, research trips and attendance at conferences.


23.05.16 20 "ADD ON FELLOWSHIPS" for graduate students and Postdocs

The Joachim Herz Stiftung supports graduate students and postdocs from different disciplines conducting interdisciplinary research in systems biology and neighboring fields. The fellowship provides flexible support of your career development (Workshops, visits etc.) over a period of two years, with a total amount of up to 12,000 Euro.
